Dr. Mercer graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Prior to veterinary school, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. She developed a love of working with animals when she started as a Kennel Assistant in high school. While in veterinary school she went on a trip to South Africa where she learned about working with wild animals in their native habitats. In practice, Dr. Mercer especially enjoys developing lasting bonds between her patients and their owners from their first puppy/kitten visits to senior pet status. Her interests include ophthalmology, oncology, feline medicine, and dermatology. In September 2022, Dr. Mercer married her Minnesota native husband, giving her two cats, Smudge & Trixie, a new cat dad! In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, cycling, baking, and crafting.
