Dr. Stellrecht started with Southview Animal Hospital in May 2020. She completed her pre-clinical semesters at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitt’s and finished her clinical year at the University of Minnesota. Prior to vet school, she completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth and worked as a veterinary technician for 3 years. During her time on the island in vet school, she took a special interest in shelter medicine and found her love for surgery and dermatology. She has completed her Fear-Free certification and loves to work with owners and their pets at lowering stress and anxiety levels inside and outside of the clinic. Her favorite part of working at Southview is being able to work as a primary care doctor along with having the opportunity to work on urgent care and emergency cases. Dr. Stellrecht lives in Saint Paul with her german shepherd, and her two kitties she brought back from the island with her. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her family and when she can get away to the island – hiking, snorkeling, and deep sea fishing!
